[She doesn't think she is, but she's been alone so long and so many times that the idea that's she alone again genuinely frightens her. She'd walked away from Jeremy for his own good, but now she didn't really understand what was happening.]

Unfortunately not specifically. Our wardens are two artificial intelligences. [ she suspects they're only the intermediaries, but that is another conversation for another day. ] Whether they are directly responsible has to be proven. As for the "how..." It could be any number of ways related to the dimensional stabilizer.

[ as much as she wants to science the reasoning here, she wouldn't be surprised if "magic" was part of the answer. ]

It isn't something I've had much experience with, unfortunately. You could try asking around, but I think it might have a good deal to do with holding all of us here, as we seem to be more of a conglomeration of many different times and places.

Ah... [ ohboy. that one's always tricky. ] It seems whoever is responsible for our presence here has the ability to bring in people from any time period they want. For instance, when I had someone here from my world, he was from a few months prior to my own time and I've known someone else who was pulled from over seventy years before my time and she was from a different world entirely.

It's difficult to adjust to, I understand. You've plenty of time to let it all sink in.

There is good news to all of this. This place offers us a chance to do things we wouldn't normally do, meet people we normally couldn't meet. There's a lot we can do here that wouldn't be possible in our respective worlds and a great many people are willing to help. Here, in this place, you're not alone.
