So that sure was a newbie-centric couple of days. Except most of them didn't stick around. [Yeah, it's still bugging her. No Derek, and the only members of her team were Gideon who still scares the hell out of her and a mini-Reid who she was too freaked out to even talk to. And then that weird other Tyki...]

If some of you got to see your loved ones and all that, I'm really happy for you. Really. But for totally selfish reasons, I... kinda hope it doesn't happen very often. Someone please tell me that's not a usual thing? Because if it is I'm going to stockpile junk food and make plans to hide out under the covers on a regular.

[Anyone who is in the area of the shopping hubs can find Garcia doing some retail therapy and also picking stuff up for her homebound bud, Rebecca. She's trying to cheer herself up and so a small radio is playing some upbeat and danceable music.]

Maybe we should go ice skating, then. And then the day after, you will feel a sense of accomplishment! Anything for new experiences, and building on your skillset.

You think so? I'm not really the athletic type, but I've gotta say, the idea is enough to have me grinning already, even if most of it is an America's Funniest Videos kind of a way. So why not? Let's go skating.

It's okay. I'll probably do a lot of falling myself. I'm not sure I could get the gracefulness down right, you know? But it'll be fun anyway.

Shall we meet in a few? And make a pact that if we're going to share hilarious bloopers from the experience it should always be accompanied by a corresponding amount of comfort food?

Yeah, sounds good. And I approve of this pact 100%. Food is a definite weakness of mine.

Yeah? Before we hang up and I go find my best skating outfit you have to give me the short list of your comfort foods. It pays to know these things about a person.

List of comfort foods, huh... I like everything, really. Pizza. Pie. Chicken nuggets. Dumplings. I can guarantee that any food that is put it in front of me, I will find it comforting and delicious.

Everything, huh. I can't decide whether that makes it easier to help a bummed-out you or harder because knowing me I'd probably clear out the store shelves just to make sure I had the bases covered.

I'm the kind of guy that if I got lost in the woods for days somewhere and was starving, I'd eat food out of the trash if I have to, and be satisfied.

I'm that guy. Human trashcan.

Well yeah, but comfort food isn't about what you'd have to eat in the worst possible scenario, right? It's about whatever makes things a tiny little bit easier.

Anyway, I'll just play to my strengths and bring a suitcase of chocolate chip cookies to the skating rink.

A suitcase, huh. In a situation like this, that does seem like the best plan. Chocolate chip cookies are best after crummy days.

They so are.

I'll bring the cookie suitcase, you bring the case bandages?
