[ it's a date. Rogue's first official date with Oz, and she's nervous. Butterflies are starting a riot in her stomach, she's second guessed the outfit she bought for the date a million times, and she's still worrying that it's too 'naked'. There's a lot of shoulder and knee to mid thigh showing, but it's a date. That's the sorta thing that's supposed to be showing on a date, isn't it?

Clearly she's got very little actual experience in this area. She has decided to leave her hair down, feeling that it provides a little extra protection against her naked shoulders. There's a knock on the door, just in time to stop her from running back into her room to put on tights that it's really too warm for anyway.

She opens the door with a nervous smile. ]

Hey.

[ It's his normal greeting, of course. But also, at the moment he's sort of freaking out enough on the inside to make the single word very profound in sheer weight. He's wearing corduroy pants and a tee. And he's on a date.

He's on a first date.

He's on a first date with Rogue.

It sort of felt as if it might have been a long time coming. He always enjoyed their time together, and the both of them had been in the prison for a long, long, long time. Plus Rogue looked as cute as always. Always cute. He realizes he should comment on that. ]

You're all the cute.

[ It does feel like it's been a long time coming. They've been friends and flirted for what feels like ever. This is a natural progression of it, albeit a very slow natural progression.

His compliment makes her smile so wide her cheeks hurt. That smile fades just a little as she looks down at her feet and the nerves are back as she looks at him. ]

You don't think it's too naked?

[ Because they're both very aware of the dangers of her and nakedness of any sort. ]

	Definitely not. [ In his dry sense of humor he thinks 'all the better to smell you with, my dear'. But it's also true. The more skin she shows the more potent her scent is to him. [ At that she grins. It's nice that Oz isn't afraid to be around her with her skin uncovered.

She doesn't think the smelling thing is as weird as some people might. She's aware that Logan could smell people and knew he'd used it from time to time with her and others. Really, Logan prepared her for Oz in a lot of ways.

She nods at his question. ]

Lemme just grab my lip gloss. [ She dashes into the apartment and grabs something off her dresser. When she comes back into the room, she's slicking pale pink lip gloss on her lips. She shoves the tube in her pocket and steps out into the hall with him. ]

We still goin' to the Bistro?

That makes sense though. Were you...born a werewolf or do you not remember getting bitten? I apologize for any stupid questions I come up with. I'm workin' with movies as my base of knowledge here.

[ she shakes her head at his question. ]

I usta be normal, or at least I thought I was. I was sixteen and I had a boy over. We were sittin' on my bed talkin' 'bout what we wanted to do when we graduated. I wanted to travel all over, but to Canada and Alaska specifically. I kissed him and...mutant abilities in my world manifest around sixteen usually durin' an emotional peak. It was my first kiss.

[ She shrugs because it's pretty obvious what happened after that. ]

Far as I know, he's still in a coma. That's one of the crimes I'm here for.

Do I sound too middle school teacher to say no questions are stupid?

[ Plus he wants Rogue to know about him. So he's good with answering most things she might ask. ] I was bitten. In my world it's a virus you catch when bitten by another werewolf.

[ He can't even imagine that being a first kiss experience in general, much less for Rogue who wouldn't hurt anyone without just cause. ] I'm sorry. What happened after it was manifested.

I always liked that parta school, even if it don't always sound true.

[ She's curious! They've talked, but they've avoided heavy subject and invasive questions about each other. ] You don't have scars. I mean...you don't got any that I've seen. Did becomin' a werewolf heal 'em all?

[ She's really fairly passive. She supposes she hurt John when she pulled his power off him to keep him from burning the world, but she calls that just cause. She shakes her head at his apology.] My parents were freakin' out. There's a lot of anti-mutant feelin's back home. They thought Jesus could save me. I ended up runnin' away. I got all the way to Canada with a trucker and then I met Logan. We both ended up at Xavier's after that.

Yeah, I've got pretty fast healing. It's a perk. I see really good in the dark. And there's the scent thing.

[ He glances sideways at her. ] Like I can smell you from... pretty far away. Just to add to the creepy.

[ People always freak out when things they don't understand come out of the woodwork. Or, sometimes they put them on reality TV shows. ] And Xavier's was that school you told me about.

[No, they don't, especially if they think those differences can be dangerous to them. ] Yeah, for all the mutants. Sorta a cross between a high school, super hero headquarters and a safe house.

[ His eyes might be smiling a bit here. He likes that he can touch her for brief moments whereas others can't. He probably likes that more than he should. And he's also glad that his super-scent doesn't freak her out. He doesn't seem to freak her out in general, actually. It's nice. ]

That's what my pack at home is. It's a safe-haven for wolves. You'd be surprised how many poachers there are out there, werewolf teeth, pelts, claws, blood... it all goes for a high price on the black market. And most wolves just wanna live their lives. They're people.

[ At the Bistro, he pulls open the door for her and follows her in. They find a table and sit down. ]

That's awful. I had no idea that sorta thing happened. Occasionally we got people who experiment on mutants, but far as I know, it ain't usual. I guess difference sorta gets treated the same everywhere, no matter the where or the difference.

[ She knows some sort of experimentation happened on Logan, but she's not entirely sure from the flashes she saw in his head if it was voluntary or the government or a private organization.

At his announcement, she sits up a little straighter, dread crossing her face. Her stomach drops. She's not entirely sure this is a good thing. ]
