Stefan won't want to explain to Elena how his brother couldn't keep it together long enough not to snap my neck.

[ their elena fixation is one of the few things matt feels he can actually count on when it comes to the salvatore brothers. they'll want him unharmed, because elena will be upset if anything happens to him. ]

	[There is that. While the Elena worship is something that usually kind of irritates Rebekah in today's scenario it might work in their favor. In any case, her expression softens a little.] I get it.
