[It takes Serana a second to get the hang of communicator, during which time the video focuses on her intensely red eyes.] This is an extremely elaborate and -- apparently pointless scheme. [And there's only one Daedric Prince she can think of who'd do that.] Sheogorath. We're in the Shivering Isles, aren't we? We're even on a island.

...An underwater island. But what else would you expect from the Prince of Madness? [She pauses for a second, contemplative but relatively calm for someone who's just been abducted.]

My name's Serana, I'm a vampire. [That part's hardly worth hiding.] If any of my fellow prisoners actually ARE prisoners and not atronachs in disguise... I know a little about Daedra. [More than a little, but this seems like a good time to be cautious.] I might be able to help us get out.

[Serana smiles at Peggy, cautious and a little apologetic.] I don't know anything for sure. Not yet.

But there are rituals that could tell us more. I... the ones I know are... [She pauses for another second, hesitant about what and what not to reveal from her past] Anyway, I need components. Has anyone been able to destroy any of the automatons that patrol this place? That's as good a place to start as any.

I'm afraid I don't have an answer to that. To my knowledge, no one has, but I do know the automatons are not unarmed. I believe they use an... electric pulse to dissuade others from tampering with their systems.

But if you think you can glean any kind of information about our wardens, it may well be worth the risk.

I'm not afraid of the torch and pitchfork crowd. Besides, we need to work together if we want to get out of this and there aren't a lot of other explanations for why I know... what I know.

Anyway, I don't need to feed. [There's just a little too much emphasis on the word need there. The same way any addict might insist they can get by just fine without their vice.] Especially not if there's no sun.

No. Definitely not.

The vamps where I'm from are out of the coffin but people ain't really handlin' it well, so they don't really advertise just so people leave'em alone. Though, there are some fightin' for vampire rights.

An' the vamps here ain't so open about what they are.

[He nods. Definitely can't argue with that. They do need to all work together and get along to a degree.]

Oh? [Yeah he's not so sure he buys it.] Ya mean because of True Blood or th' blood they provide?

I have to say, that's sort of surprising. My f...ellow vampires have always reacted to public resentment with violence and terror. [Which isn't a great plan, in her mind. But it's pretty much the way of the world as far as she knows.]

I don't... know anything about either of those. [She's still trying to downplay her interest though. It's been fifteen hundred years since she last fed, she can wait a little longer.] But for a true vampire feeding is an indulgence, not a need. [That line sounds pretty rote. She's reciting someone else's words and she doesn't make much effort to hide it.]
