Day 241 | Video | Action--Open Mingle
[There is a very tall, pale, blonde man on the screen. He's wearing dark clothes and his blonde hair is slicked back. He gives the camera a charming smile. ]

I understand we're to be inundated with visitors today. I also understand that a sudden arrival here can be a disconcerting and that often requires a drink. I invite everyone to come have a drink at the Blood Shack in sector four. We've got a wide variety of drinks, both ordinary and unusual.

Come spend your day with us at the Blood Shack. We'd be delighted to have you.

[ The video clicks off.

Those that decide to take Eric up on his invitation, will find the Blood Shack up and running. During the day, a few bots can be found doing some of the mundane things like delivering drinks to tables, but during the evening Eric will be behind the bar and the presence of bots is reduced. The bar itself is dimly lit with small tables and booths places about. There's a dance floor and a stage with a pole at one end. The other end of the stage is occupied by what can only be called a throne, which Eric occupies when Spike is behind the bar. There is also a jukebox that customers can play. ]

[This is the first time he's intentionally told anyone about Saber being gone, because it's the first time someone would understand. Raven felt bad for him sure, but he couldn't blame her for not wanting to get into it. And that Aidan kid found out too, but at the time Zelgadis was far more interested in being left alone than being in any way honest.]

[This is Yomi, and it's different. So he nods.] I tried summoning her back and ended up in the hospital. ...If you're going to whack me over that, at least watch your hand. [Acknowledging, perhaps, that he deserves to get hit for being stupid. Maybe wants her to.]

	I know. [And he'd deserve it, no debating that.] It was the only thing I could think to do. [He shakes his head,] If I thought she went home I could accept it, but there's a theory that when people leave here they just... go to sleep somewhere else. [ Allen. Him too, huh? Yomi kicks out under the table, agitation being given unseen physical form. There's nothing about this she likes, except the person sitting across from her.

She's without her weapon. She doesn't know this place, the people. She's utterly resourceless to fix his problem, no matter how much she wants to.

Yomi smiles, wide. Maybe a distraction will help. ]

This place is so dank and depressing. Let's get some fresh air.

[He thinks for a long second.]

[Then a longer second.]

[And looks pretty embarrassed by the fact that he's never really thought about it. His favorite place was wherever he and Saber were when they were getting along. Their apartment, mostly. That's why he's been camping outside, because he couldn't bear to be reminded.]

I don't really know. The seashore, maybe? [He glances at Yomi as if asking permission.]
