Day 241 | Video | Action--Open Mingle
[There is a very tall, pale, blonde man on the screen. He's wearing dark clothes and his blonde hair is slicked back. He gives the camera a charming smile. ]

I understand we're to be inundated with visitors today. I also understand that a sudden arrival here can be a disconcerting and that often requires a drink. I invite everyone to come have a drink at the Blood Shack in sector four. We've got a wide variety of drinks, both ordinary and unusual.

Come spend your day with us at the Blood Shack. We'd be delighted to have you.

[ The video clicks off.

Those that decide to take Eric up on his invitation, will find the Blood Shack up and running. During the day, a few bots can be found doing some of the mundane things like delivering drinks to tables, but during the evening Eric will be behind the bar and the presence of bots is reduced. The bar itself is dimly lit with small tables and booths places about. There's a dance floor and a stage with a pole at one end. The other end of the stage is occupied by what can only be called a throne, which Eric occupies when Spike is behind the bar. There is also a jukebox that customers can play. ]

	[ it's oddly domestic and something eric craves, which is something that he never thought he'd want. loving sookie has introduced him all sorts of new emotions, desires and needs. ] I imagine people will drift in. [ the feeling's mutual. sookie doesn't always like eric, and the times when she doesn't like him sometimes triumph over the times in which she does. but, she's fallen for him. hard. harder than she imagined she would, harder than she wanted to. she knows that deep down beneath that tough viking exterior is a soft gooey center that he keeps very closely guarded. all things considered, she's flattered he lets her see that side of himself at all. ]

And that has nothing to do with the fact that I agreed to be yours, Eric Northman?

[ in a vampire quick movement, he bends at the waist, placing a kiss on the scar on her neck, his scar. his fingers slide up the column of her neck to rest beneath her chin and tilt her face so that he can lean in to kiss her. it's probably not a terribly decent kiss for public. he probably doesn't give any fucks. ]

But yes, that might have had something to do with it. I do like the way you look when you're mine.

[ were they at merlotte's (both the bon temps and marinanova versions) or fangtasia, she wouldn't have allowed him to do this for a variety of reasons. but here, in this formerly robot-sanctioned bar, in front of a bunch of people who likely won't still be here come morning, she's happy to kiss him back. sookie's arms wrap themselves around his back, palms flat against his shoulder blades. ]

I like the way you look when you use "girlfriend" instead of "mine," though.

[ that scar's something that could've easily been healed with his blood, but she doesn't mind it. everyone knows she's dating a vampire, and she's lost the ability to find shame in giving him her blood when she's consenting and willing to do so. ]

[ on top of all of that, it's a vampire bar. it's good for any visiting vampires that get a whiff of her to know that she belongs to someone else, which didn't slip Eric's mind, but essentially he kissed her because he wanted to. The fact that it might help keep her safe is secondary. ]

I've been working on that. [ He has. To other people, and it's still odd for him. ] It still seems a term that's lacking.

[ he offered, but he likes that it's there. As for how they share blood, it's none of anyone else's business. Eric knows what it means, as does Sookie, and that's all he really cares about. ]
