Day 241 | Video | Action--Open Mingle
[There is a very tall, pale, blonde man on the screen. He's wearing dark clothes and his blonde hair is slicked back. He gives the camera a charming smile. ]

I understand we're to be inundated with visitors today. I also understand that a sudden arrival here can be a disconcerting and that often requires a drink. I invite everyone to come have a drink at the Blood Shack in sector four. We've got a wide variety of drinks, both ordinary and unusual.

Come spend your day with us at the Blood Shack. We'd be delighted to have you.

[ The video clicks off.

Those that decide to take Eric up on his invitation, will find the Blood Shack up and running. During the day, a few bots can be found doing some of the mundane things like delivering drinks to tables, but during the evening Eric will be behind the bar and the presence of bots is reduced. The bar itself is dimly lit with small tables and booths places about. There's a dance floor and a stage with a pole at one end. The other end of the stage is occupied by what can only be called a throne, which Eric occupies when Spike is behind the bar. There is also a jukebox that customers can play. ]

[Considering the news she got from Matt about Elena being a vampire here Rebekah had almost considered keeping scarce for a few days. After all, it would probably still up a few of those forgotten grudges. But she hears Eric's announcement and she decides against it.

She's never been one to live in fear before and it's not like she can really be hurt, long term speaking. And she's certainly not feeling guilty or anything like that. Why would she? She did what any of them would to protect the people they cared about.

And besides, she kind of wants a first glance at some of the visitors herself, in case they're familiar faces. She'll be found mostly at the bar, nursing a glass of scotch but she's fairly approachable, all things considered.]

	[ cosima is worlds of not sure if want, but she needs a drink right now, so it's either fight her way into the snooty, overcrowded wine place or order something here. she plops down on a stool near rebekah. ] Something. That doesn't surprise me. [Rebekah's not entirely sure she misses it -- she always enjoyed the rush of the kill but everything else matters more. She wouldn't risk killing someone here if she didn't have to. She has friends. A life.

That clean slate she's been so desperate for. Even if part of her becomes increasingly afraid it'll slip away.]
