It's not something Eric has ever questioned, but Willa might have a point. It could be something built into newborns. That wasn't how Eric had intended things to go when he made Willa. He thought that the governor would react the way a father would have, the way Eric himself would have reacted had it been his human children or his vampire child. He thought that the governor would change his stance on vampires when he had to deal with his daughter being one of them. Eric liked Willa. She had impressed him as a human, but he probably would not have made her if he had known how the governor would actually react. No matter now. He had made Willa and he'd made a good decision despite the fact that it hadn't worked out the way he had thought it would.
He'd also give money to see Pam's reaction. He could guess what it was.
