[ Buffy has a routine. She doesn't necessarily want a routine, but she's got one. It starts reasonably early in the morning.

[Morning--Sector 1--Athletic Complex]

Buffy jogs to the athletic complex dressed in a zipped hoody, tank and yoga shorts. She spends the next couple of hours going through tai chi movements, stretching and wailing on a punching bag and/or fighting dummy. Once she's worked all the restlessness that comes with being a slayer and nothing to slay out, she jogs back to her apartment. She can be interrupted on the way to the complex, during her workout or on her way back to her apartment.

[Mid Morning/Afternoon--Sector 4--Closed to Dawn]

Once she's showered, Buffy yells for Dawn. Yes, they live in the same two bedroom apartment, but that doesn't mean that yelling isn't necessary. It's a sister thing.

"Dawnie!! Breakfast is a thing we should go do."

They'd probably end up shopping as well. It was a common Summers bonding activity.

[Evening--Sector 4--Merlottes]

Evening finds Buffy doing something else routine. She's at Merlotte's waiting tables for the dinner shift. Feel free to have her wait on your table, catch her in between tables or at the bar. ]

Shouting is most definitely a Summers sister thing. Dawn was on her bed writing in her journal when she hears her sister shout. She shouts right back. "Just a sec!"

Shutting the journal, she rolls off of her bed and quickly dresses in some shorts, a tank and a hoodie. She pulls her hair up into a ponytail and then grabs her book bag that she takes with her everywhere.

She practically bounds out of her room full of energy. Yes, sometimes she really is a glowing ball of energy, minus the glowing. "Can there be pancakes with all the syrupy goodness? Cause... sugar highs are always fun."

Dawn hasn't realized yet that Xander is gone. She's gonna have all the mixed feelings about that. But for now, she's happy with her sister here where there isn't a weekly apocalypse. She's happy to be with Peter, whatever she and Peter are. She's happy taking all the classes she can while she's here. And she's generally in a good place.

All of this makes for bouncy, energetic Dawn.

"All the fried pig... and syrup. I bet bacon tastes just as good drowned in syrupy soup as pancakes do. In fact, I'd bet most things taste good drowned in syrup... except maybe sardines." Her nose wrinkles. "...and carrots."

	Buffy is beginning to suspect that Xander is gone. She doesn't want to think that much about it. The whole idea of people leaving bothers her because she knows the truth about what happens. They go into some sort of storage. Besides, Buffy likes it when Dawn is in a good place. "We'll have to experiment. Just not with sardines and carrots." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Oh! We could try french fries." Dawn starts to prattle on as she and Buffy leave the apartment. Both hands grip the strap of her messenger bag as she walks alongside her sister. "And tater tots. And spam. Cause... spam. Oh, and we can try a snickers bar. I wonder if a funnel cake drowned in syrup is just overkill or some crazy mixture of yummy goodness that must be explored at all costs."

"Valid point with the sunburning." She'll concede to that as they walk into the restaurant for sisterly food times. She grins one of those cat ate the canary grins before adding more. "Maybe I could borrow one of Peter's tee shirts cause of the cute and sexy vibe that still entails." Which unfortunately for Buffy implies that there would be no tee shirt before asking for his.

Once they're seated, Dawn sets her bag on the floor by her chair. She picks up a menu and looks it over as if she doesn't already know what she's getting. "Hey, all of my habits are your habits. In fact, they were your habits first. So you can thank yourself for my habit since you were habiting before me and I merely learned by example. Color me innocent in all this t-shirt mess."

Ordering from the breakfast bot gives Buffy a chance to come up with the answer to Dawn's question. Eventually, she figures she'll tell Dawn about Sam being a shapeshifter, but it's somet she wants to discuss with Sam first since it's his secret to tell. Fortunately for her, as far as she's aware, it doesn't have any bearing on the answer to Dawn's question.

"Breakable isn't so much the issue." And as far as Buffy knows, Sam's ability doesn't make him any more resilient. Whether it did or not, breakable wouldn't be the issue. "It has more to do with accepting that big strong man is never going to be stronger than short, little, blonde girl. Sam is okay with that."

"Boys don't like that you can kick their little behinds, huh?" It's nice. Cause Dawn is always doing the girl-talk thing and Buffy doesn't always share so much with her cause she has Willow and whoever else is around to share with. So it's cool to her that Buffy is talking with her now.

And she proceeds to order one of almost everything from the menu plus a big thing of syrup.
