[ the video clicks on and a confused and very pissed off guy comes into focus. tyler had been running from klaus for weeks and being stuck here, wasn't exactly the plan. ]

What the hell is this?

If I don't get some answers, someone's goin' to get hurt. I don't have time for this crap and honestly you don't want to piss me off!

[ too late for that, but he's using his 'intimidation' technique. ]

And what is with this list? What the hell is wrong with this system? Are you kiddin' me? Dude...way to make me out as a bad guy.

[ he thought things were slowly falling into place, that soon he would be able to come back home to Mystic Falls, but this wasn't the case. an underwater prison was going to be torture, controlling his anger will be harder than he thinks. ]

[ matt is going to flip something. first caroline's mom and now tyler. not that matt isn't grateful to see the best friend he quite honestly thought he'd never hear from again in something other than writing after prom, but he's not sure how safe this place is for him. especially if klaus gets dragged back in here, after what rebekah told him about klaus compelling around her friend, quinn.

nevermind the current stefan/caroline situation. ]

Everything is wrong with this system.

[ it's not that he's not happy to see Matt, he just didn't expect him to be stuck in a prison like this and honestly, it was sad. but they've gone through worse in the past. life or death situations that only made them incredibly stronger. he still hasn't seen caroline, but stefan informed him that she was well. klaus is still a worry to him. ]

I'm actually pissed you're stuck in here too, but on the other hand, it's been a while man.

Yeah. Thought it was going to be longer. [ because klaus sucks. :( ]

It's some cross-universe prison or however the hell that's supposed to work. [ he is not the person to ask about that. matt barely passed high school biology. theoretical quantum physics flies right over his head. the only reason he has any sort of grasp on how this works is thanks to comic books and video games pulling similar stunts. (if only this was just a game he could quit and not come back to ever.) ]

You want me to come bring you some clothes or something, because the convict look doesn't really work for you. [ the orange doesn't look good on anyone. ]

Yeah, it was a long overdue reunion. By the way, you haven't seen Klaus, have you?

[ tyler wasn't too familiar with the whole bio crap either, usually bullied the nerds to take care of it. after all, he was always too busy being the typical jock until everything went down hill. it wasn't until matt said something about the orange jumpsuit he was wearing, that he finally let it all sink in. this was it. this was what he deserved, the guilt working it's way into him. ]

Thanks man, that'd be awesome. This kind of itches.

Nah. [ he shakes his head, already ruffling through the contents of the wardrobe he's slowly been amassing since he and tyler wear just about the same size. ] He was here for a while, but Rebekah said he left some time ago.

[ which doesn't mean he won't be back. matt's worried about that, more for his friend than himself and the fact that he's been cozying up to klaus' baby sister. ]

Mind giving me a few scenery pointers? I'd rather not spend my day wandering around the dome, looking for your ass.

[ he takes a quick look around, notices an ice rink. ] There's some weird ass skates here. I'm by the hockey rink. [ matt is not as good at navigating this dome as he thinks he is, and winds up wandering around the wrong sector for the duration of those twenty minutes he quoted before he makes his way in the right direction. a decent chunk of time has passed between heading out the door, grabbing clothes, and finally arriving at the rink. when he spots tyler, he grins, unable to hide the relief at seeing his best friend again without the accompanying sense of panic and worry that klaus might find out, that seeing him person is not worth the risk -- a smile that quickly fades when he notices that something is... off. tyler's feathers look ruffled, and not in a good way. ]

Ty? Dude, what's wrong?

[ he was sitting down on the floor, somehow through all the anger and disappointment, he had found himself on the ground as if he belonged there. when he sensed matt nearby, he looked up, faking a smile wasn't easy to do. he tried it but couldn't bring himself to lie to his friend about it. tyler was a mess and his best friend was there to witness his most vulnerable moment. ]

Nothing.

[ lies. it was definitely something. more like someone. caroline. he forces himself up, nods. ]

It's good to see you, man.

[ he moves towards him and gives him a hug. this was probably lame, but he needed it. ]

[ he seemed fine on the network -- other than pissed, but that was a sentiment just about everyone who suddenly found themselves stuck in this place shared. what could have happened between hanging up and him getting turned around to have upset him like this?

matt returns the hug, patting his friend on the back. ] Okay, now I know something's wrong. Gonna tell me what it is?

[ he knows. either caroline told him herself or someone did it for her, but he knows that caroline cheated on him with stefan. matt frowns, not wanting to stay anything that could potentially cause tyler to break down or lose his temper in a public place. instead, he holds out the bag containing the clothes and shoes he picked up from the store for him. ]
