Day 228 l Video l Open
[The old man on the screen looks dangerously calm for having just arrived in an undersea prison. Saetan has taken the time to find an elegant, old fashioned looking suit before switching on his communicator. Not only that but he has actually arranged himself in the library, and looks as at home and in control of the situation as if he were in his study. He does not look like a frightened new prisoner, which is entirely the point. He's not someone who is used to being powerless and being held captive is not about to make him change his attitude. When he does speak his voice is like thin ice, dark and cold with something deadly lurking underneath.]

I’d like to speak to someone in authority, immediately. I heard your clever little announcement, and you obviously know who I am. Prisoner or not you should respect me enough to speak to me face to face. I’m going to find where you’ve taken my Jewels eventually, and it would be in your best interest to resolve all of this before I do.

I am not a squeamish man, I assure you.

[ though he may or may not have just gotten rather rustled by the combination of a reference to his maleness and being called "boyo." to say the least, he had been expecting neither. at least he does a most admirable job of maintaining his pokerface. ]

But— Hell, you say? [ perhaps surprisingly, there isn't much disbelief in his voice. marina has taught him to expect anything and everything— but, of course, one still cannot be too trusting. ] I'm afraid I've not had the pleasure of visiting your domain. [ though he is quite sure he's sent many there. ]

The ring of obedience is attached to a man's genitals and pain is administered through a controlling ring. It's not a pretty invention, but I do my best to stay out of the affairs of the living.

[A faint smile.] No, I imagine not since you're still alive. Don't worry; you're not missing out on much by not visiting just yet.

[ his expression retains its stoicism despite the nature of the torture— though its description may have actually evoked the smallest glint of recognition, even approval, in his eyes. he has tortured many people in many different and vile ways, and knows well that such tortures can prove particularly effective. ]

"The affairs of the living" yet concern me, unattractive though they may seem. I daresay that I've more to see to before embarking upon such a journey.

[The worst part is its not torture; its a slave control device, and at the same time a threat to dangle over the heads of free males to keep them scared enough to break strong witches, and without threats to their power the ones in control remain there. Its an ugly cycle that he's been watching twist the world up for centuries now.]

A very practical way of looking at things. Some people are too easily deterred by life. And if its any consolation Hell is not such a bad place to end a journey.

[ a soft, almost amicable chuckle. ] Perhaps not— though I believe you may have a certain degree of bias.
