[It's dark, but it hardly makes a difference to a vampire. Only that the amount of traffic is significantly reduced. Which is fine. It's her turn to patrol sector zero, but she isn't alone today.

Sitting against a tree, she hums quietly, before singing a few lyrics to the song she'll have to perform, some time soon, in front of the dome. Not that she's looking forward to it, but she'll be glad when it's over. Nevertheless, it's easy enough to practice when everyone's asleep. Idly her hands stroke a small, orange, furry body nestled within her lap.]

Gathering stars, into my arms
I build up a fragile castle of sand
And utter a tiny pray for all the ones I love

[She returns back to humming, and stretching wide, yawns. She needs to do something to stay awake. Nails brush against the device, and after a moment it flickers on. The light of the screen is dim, but in the screen a couple blue and purple butterflies flutter around her. She pays them little attention, though. Instead, she lifts a small vampire bunny up, and forces one of his little legs to wave to the screen.]

Busa-kun is bored, so we were wondering if anyone's still up. Everyone who hasn't met him yet, for whatever the reason, say hi to Busa.

[He looks up in surprise. He'd left out their names only because they hadn't come to mind immediately. The others were in and out of his life and impacted him in some way--these two had been strangers before their arrival.]

Your father wasn't here for very long and I didn't get to know him very well. He kept to himself mostly. [Her parents were here at a time where he wasn't exactly--open to the idea of getting to know them.]

Your mother--[Oh. What to say about her mother? Juri Kuran had been a force of her own, that's for sure. Never backing down from him. Seeking him out just to get a reaction.] Your mother...[He actually gives a chuckle, looking at her for the first time in a new light in his memories.] Drove me insane. Every single thing you do that to push my buttons--multiply it by ten, remove all sense of guilt and insecurity and replace it with amusement. That's your mother.

You're just like her. She drove me crazy at the time, but looking back...the more you were around her the more you got your 'spark' back that had seemed to fade during that year.

She was good for you...

[She smiles. One hand pushing off the ground, she rises to her feet. She's glad. He's talking to her about it. One hand reaching out, she brushes her fingers against his cheek.]

It's not in Zero's nature to do anything that will hurt me.

[Eyes closing, her smile brightens.]

[She trusts that whatever he has to say about Rido will be handled delicately. And she knows that he wont treat them all as monsters.]

[The touch of her hand releases the tension he's been feeling and a sense of peace rolls over him. Her trust was something he still didn't believe he deserves after everything he did to her. Everything he's said and believed in the past he's had to adjust and detach his own trauma from in order to reassess objectively. Zero's head leans into her hand, bringing his own hand over hers and shuts his own eyes, enjoying the touch.]

Never again...not like I did.
