[It's dark, but it hardly makes a difference to a vampire. Only that the amount of traffic is significantly reduced. Which is fine. It's her turn to patrol sector zero, but she isn't alone today.

Sitting against a tree, she hums quietly, before singing a few lyrics to the song she'll have to perform, some time soon, in front of the dome. Not that she's looking forward to it, but she'll be glad when it's over. Nevertheless, it's easy enough to practice when everyone's asleep. Idly her hands stroke a small, orange, furry body nestled within her lap.]

Gathering stars, into my arms
I build up a fragile castle of sand
And utter a tiny pray for all the ones I love

[She returns back to humming, and stretching wide, yawns. She needs to do something to stay awake. Nails brush against the device, and after a moment it flickers on. The light of the screen is dim, but in the screen a couple blue and purple butterflies flutter around her. She pays them little attention, though. Instead, she lifts a small vampire bunny up, and forces one of his little legs to wave to the screen.]

Busa-kun is bored, so we were wondering if anyone's still up. Everyone who hasn't met him yet, for whatever the reason, say hi to Busa.

There's nothing to be worried over.

[She can't remember if Sookie knows or not, but in any event... there's no secret here in Marina, when it comes to Yuuki. Lifting a hand, one of her own fangs are revealed as she gently pricks the tip of her index finger. A tiny drop of blood pools, before sliding down the side of her finger. She lowers it to the bunny in her lap.

Although his nose twitches, he doesn't move to take the blood. Lifting her finger up to her lips, she laps the blood away, revealing the injury is already gone.]

He's just an animal. I don't think the wardens sell pets that would hurt other animals or inmates.

[ what sookie knows is usually limited to what little people tell her directly and the unsaid which she overhears from people's heads. if nobody's said or thought anything about what yuuki is, she doesn't know -- though, as the other girl extends her fangs and pricks her finger, that is immediately cleared up. ]

...oh, okay. I didn't know that you were an undead citizen. Sorry. I don't really keep tabs on that. [ it's more eric's thing, even if sookie knows about the mystic falls vampires who are still masquerading as humans. ] I'd hope not. Otherwise we'd have a lot of people being unnecessarily punished for pet problems.

[ that, she wasn't expecting. to her, vampires have always been dead and she's always been mostly okay with that, save a couple times when vampire drama got too muh and she lashed out in ways that her tolerant self otherwise wouldn't. ]

Vampires from my world aren't. They all have to die before they actually get their fangs in. How is it you don't?

I've heard that it's different in other worlds.

[Although she's seen it many times now, it's still bizarre. What she can't understand is how some who is dead can come back. No one should really... be able to come back from death.]

Vampires are born where I come from. Over ten thousand years ago, climate change was killing off mankind. It was around then when the first progenitor of the vampire race appeared.

[Stranger yet that she's seen a glimpse into that sad past.]

Although humans can be turned into vampires by a pureblood, they aren't dead, either. We're just a different species... although there's a difference in strength and ability.

[A former human wouldn't have half the strength of a Noble vampire, or Pureblood.]

Vampire children don't get their fangs until around the same age human children begin shedding their baby teeth. It's similar.

[ magic, or so bill told her once. that everyone is made of magic, they just have different kinds. she's not sure whether to take that at face value or not, given bill's penchant for lies and what eric said becomes of him in a future she's yet to experience, but sookie does know that she's magical. she can shoot light from her hands and read people's thoughts -- if that doesn't scream magical being, she doesn't know what would. ]

Ten thousand... That's certainly a different take on things. I'm not really sure how my kind of vampire came about. That's a question better directed at Eric -- Eric Northman. He's one of the oldest in my world, so if anyone would have a clue about that, it'd likely be him. [ eric's mentioned lilith a few times, but sookie never really absorbed what he was saying. ]

And you -- gosh, this is gonna sound rude, but -- how old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

[Compared to her brother/fiance/...grandfather, who is the progenitor.]

My parents were over three thousand years old before their deaths [murdes], though. The purbelood are immortal and wont die except by very particular methods. But other vampires eventually get old and pass away, but even then it can be after a thousand or some years.

... I think.

[Actually, she doesn't know the oldest, none pureblood that she knows. What is the life expectancy of the noble class?]

The not immortal, not dying except by specific ways thing is vampire universal, I think. That's the way for the ones I know, at least.

[ not that she'll share any of those methods. beheading, silvering, sunlight, fire, stake to the heart... though that last one is usually a given, what with it being popular in hollywood and all. ]

Always a little weird when I find I'm older than a vampire. I keep expecting y'all to be older. [ she smiles though. she's always liked yuuki. ]

	Mm... I've read some really odd methods on how to kill a vampire from other worlds. They're...creative. [Although killing vampires isn't really on her agenda. Bill staked someone -- someone who was trying to attack everyone. It was self defense, but the Vampire Authority takes such matters very seriously. His punishment for ending the life of another vampire was to make a new vampire. A life for a life.

Don't be. She actually-- I think... I think it might've been better for her, in the long run. Not how it happened, but that she's free from her old life. It wasn't the best.

[ religious fundamentalists for parents who controlled every aspect of her life, a father who looked down upon her, etc. sookie had the misfortune of meeting the hambys -- misfortune in more ways that one. ]
