Helen turns at that admission, her expression calm, though closed. She isn't judging for those words; she only judges herself for not having stopped Nikola and John. Leaning back against the wall, she nods in response, instead.
"I wasn't supposed to exist in that timeline. Everything I touched could have ruined everything I knew. At the time, I hadn't thought it was worth the risk."
But that last statement proved Rebekah understood the severity of what Helen had been through. The younger woman nodded slowly, sighing softly as she folded her arms over her chest.
"Everyone you've lost has to be lost again, every last section of history must happen as it should have. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I should hope you never experience it. And that you haven't been through anything like it."
