[Lacus started out good at cooking and now can do it thoughtlessly, cutting carrots into perfect strips as her mind wanders. She can't help but think of Neil and Kira, what if they return, what her new living arrangement would mean. She would never just abandon a friend, of course. It's hardly worth worrying over, but she does all the same.]
[Without knowing it, she begins to hum a familiar yet sad song, and eventually she begins to softly sing the lyrics:]
