I don't know, I got the vibe back there that they were more warden-like, in construct. Versus now where they seem more defined, self-individualized. From what I grasped there was something special about Sentience though, possibly [fingerquotes] "bad" in the scheme of things-- from his creator's view, whoever they were. I mean, if you jail your own AI, something's up.
[Shrugging.] It's no coincidence that just as he gets back in the hot seat he's ejected again, maybe for being too... humanized? Listening to us too much? Makes you kind of steamed, if you think about it. He showed us too much. Maybe he would've, in time, thought about letting us go. Acumen on the other hand was just an asshole, default authority figure. Perhaps how Sentience was supposed to be, flawless in terms of identifying with people?
I'm not sure really how to compare 'em, I think we've sunk farther down from the possibility of having any say or power over our surroundings though. Unless we can somehow make Veri stop mocking half the inmates, they're not really going to gel. And Consci, by design, lacks even more... [gesture] y'know?
