[Euphie spent a more or less quiet evening struggling with all her energy to get out of the room Tear, Laura, and Zelgadis had commandeered for her to keep her away from the others—the Japanese. To keep everyone safe. Eventually, her body gave out, too tired to stay up calling for them to release her and to stop throwing herself against the door. So finally she slept a dreamless sleep—the better to recharge. The better to kill the Japanese when she woke. Only, it wasn't that simple. It wasn't as simple as staying locked up or even as committing genocide. You see these activities today are mandatory. Everyone participates. Everyone not reporting is found. Everyone who is hopelessly compelled to commit unspeakable acts that are more important than exercise are shocked again and again until their bodies once more give out. The damage isn't permanent. The shocks are carefully designed to be painful, but not ultimately harmful.
It can't be pleasant to watch. Seeing her cry out in pain over and over as she searches for weapons and aid between shocks. Hearing her fall again as she passes out. Probably hoping this time she'll sleep a little longer before the process starts again.
Finally, it is lunch time and she is free to find food. Of course that isn't what she'll be looking for. Despite how sore and and exhausted her body is she steadfastly finds herself reaching for whatever rocks are near enough to reach. The Japanese can't be far. If she throws them hard enough...]
