[before or after]
[Klara had been looking for other classes to take when she saw this one. She entered hoping no one would notice her and sat in the back of the room. The lecture had been fascinating, disturbing, and made Klara feel a little ill, but the way he made it all sound so informative kept her from leaving. And that she was worried people would notice if she did. So she sat there, listened and took notes the entire time, and when the class ended she stayed in her corner, waiting for everyone else to leave before she did. Sitting in the back of the room does have some benefits--even though she wouldn't have seen the teacher if he wasn't so tall.
She gathers her things when the room is almost empty, eying everyone else left in the room and gaining the courage to go up and speak to the teacher. He looked nice. Would he mind answering her questions? If someone else comes up to her, she won't run, but she might take a bit to warm up to them.]
