Let's play baseball tomorrow!

You know, instead of practice, let's just have a game even if the teams are a little short. And people should join so they're tall again! Tall wasn't really the right word.

Yeah, I guess it has. [In some ways it sounds shorter to hear "seven months." After all it's been quite a journey even for a boy whose life was already pretty full of incredible journeys. And in other ways it just sounds like a really, really long time to fail in getting everyone home like he promised. He barely even says it now. The reassuring, "we will get out of this!" doesn't come as quickly to his lips. It isn't that he's lost hope—he hasn't, but with one loss after another until he's left without his guides and friends from home he has definitely lost direction.]

There were dinosaurs every night for awhile. We had to live in the shelter so they didn't get us. Weird things happened too. Like one day we all had cat ears like Ritsuka. But I guess weird things still happen. You don't think things happen now?

Yeah, things happen, but it kind of seems like it's parties and simple stuff. It's kind of weird to have so much free time like this.

[Between school and patrolling and training back home, he barely had time to sleep. Just the way Batman liked it. And even before that, the circus was always busy. He could sleep for an extra five hours a night and still have extra time on his hands now. It's so strange.]

	Oh yeah. We had to practice every day and when we got to new towns we would have to help with set-up or take-down, There was always something to do and I couldn't slack on my homework one bit.
