so don't wake me if i'm dreaming;
[ faith is, safe to say, wary of everyone in this place except for angel. everyone else comes from what seems like light years ahead of faith -- and they all just keep treating her like she's okay. which, really, would be fine.
but back home, faith's still in jail. she's still penned up safely away from the rest of the world; and she likes it that way. the problem with marina's version of prison is that she's got so much less of the routine, and she's faced with so, so much of her ugly past. she did a lot of growing when she locked herself up, but she still really doesn't know how to apologize.
the kicker is, nobody's really asked her to. they all say she helps save the world soon. and that's hard for her to believe. ]
Don't worry. I'm not the responsible one, so it's okay for me.
[ oh look, she's avoiding her feelings and self-deprecating, what a surprise. faith brings her head up off of her forearms and looks at cordelia only briefly, before averting her eyes across the room. there can be only one reason, to faith, that she's here. ]
Haven't seen Angel today. I'll let him know you're looking if I do.
