Saya may have already accepted her fate herself-- though better than the kind of existential crisis Luke went through, it's still rather fatalistic-- but she feels someone should openly express the sadness of Saya's approaching end, when she deserved a happy life as much as or more than the next. Dwelling on it isn't good, but neither is acting like it's not important.
She looks up after a moment, sulkiness lingering somewhat, but she then pushes her plate over with a grudging lopsided smile. It's hard, after all that, but it is a good day, and Saya's in a good mood despite everything...]
