day 176 [video / voice];
[someone sure is in the hospital, maybe for the day. his head is wrapped up tight in gauze, but he otherwise looks okay. his index and middle finger on his right hand are also splinted, for now.]

...For anyone who had to see what happened yesterday: I'm okay—no one needed to see that broadcast. Sorry to those of you who had to see it, and...thanks to those of you who did whatever you did to bring me to the hospital... I'm sorry to have troubled you.

	...From what I understand, he was born to kill me, and he hates that I got assigned the "role" he wanted. Besides that... I killed Cain, in the timeline I was taken from—Birdman as well, and two other siblings of Cain's. So he hates me for all of those reasons. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	They attacked me first, each of them—and they were all after my best friend, because she had the capability to destroy their creator, who was moving to eradicate humanity. 	From what little I've seen of him, yeah, I figured Birdman is pretty beyond help. Trust me, I'm not happy with Cain either: he caused me a lot of trouble. He even attacked me. But I was hoping that showing him a little sympathy when Birdman was mistreating him would do something. Looks like I was wrong. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

When he got here, he hacked people's records and broadcast their crimes and any of their aliases all over the network. People were pretty upset. So I talked to the then-warden Sentience and had it strengthen the security around the files. About the same time, our resident mad scientist accidentally released some kind of gas that lowered some people's inhibitions. So when Cain found me, the guy who ruined his "fun," he went after me. I don't know if he did it because he was uninhibited or if he would've done it anyway.

As for what happened with his brother, I found him in the street forcefeeding Cain pills. So I stepped in. Whether I like the guy or not, I couldn't ignore that.

...Yeah. I hacked their private conversations from the last dome when I arrived here, because I don't trust either of them, and I wanted to know what they were up to.

Their relationship is pretty bad... Cain's very obedient to Birdman, from what I can tell, and Birdman's really good at manipulating him. That's why I tried to caution people not to believe a word he says.

[Rion's more scared of Birdman than Cain, honestly.]

After all, with Cain, nothing's more important than "family".

	[Dick's not inclined to judge people based on their families, so Rion is set.] Trust me, it took me two seconds to realize that Birdman is bad news. You can tell a lot from someone's eyes. ...You can't blame him, I guess. He doesn't really have a frame of reference when it comes to that sort of thing.

Even if Galerians are artificial life forms, we are just the altered genetics of humans... I think it's natural to crave these sort of connections.

After all, in the "human memories" I was given, I ...feel a lot of love for the people I call my parents.

...The Mother computer who created me.

She gave me the memories of the human boy I was cloned from; Cain and I are both replicas of that person. But... I have his memories, and I have his mind. I am the same, but redesigned. Essentially, it's like my human body was taken away from me, and I was given this instead. [truthfully, Rion's still sorting out what it all means in his head: who he is, and what being "human" means versus being "Galerian"]

...She did this because I was to lure my best friend to her, who posed a threat to her existence. The memories were necessary for me to get Lilia to trust me, I guess.

	[It takes a few seconds before he replies.] I remember Cain ranting about his mother. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that she's as cruel as his brother is.
