There’s a growl coming from that dark alley over there, a snarl from the shadow of that tree, a scratching of claws against pavement and gravel. Behind you? In front of you? Left? Right? A large hulking shadow is there just out of the corner of your eye and then gone. A game of predator and prey has begun without anyone’s permission.

The wolf won over Oz’s control today. In wolf form, Oz is still bipedal but also able to creep around like a quadruped. He’s covered in black fur with coal black eyes, sharp teeth and claws that can deal heavy and deadly damage. Depending on the time of day in which you catch him, Oz might still be fighting the transformation and able to (somewhat) understand what’s happening around him. The later it gets in the day, the more wolf he will be. By the end of the night, he’ll end up in sector six with the rest of the animals.

ooc: Please let me know in an added ooc note on your thread or through my plurk how much damage it’s okay to deal to your character. It’s okay to damage the wolf too, but he will deal back what he’s given and run if he gets too injured like any wild animal would.

Rogue goes down when he pounces on her, a strangled scream catching in her throat. Pain is something that Rogue is acquainted with. She thought her bones were going to come apart when Magneto hooked her up to that machine. This pain isn't quite that overwhelming, but it's sharp and it's scary and it comes with the knowledge that she could die here. With Magento, there was always the assurance that Logan and the others would come for her. There was only the question of if they would be fast enough. Here, there is no such assurance. Here, Rogue is going to have to save herself.

The weight of the wolf and the shock of the pain, the slickness of the blood all work against her. She is trying to calm herself enough that her heart doesn't burst out of her chest. She's got to calm down enough that her sobs and her screams don't take her over as they're threatening to do. She only has to be able to reach her hands. For the first time since she was sixteen, she's cursing the fact that she's got on gloves. She knows her time is limited. She can feel herself weakening already. The wolf's claws rip and his teeth tear. It seems like there's blood everywhere and it's taking forever (not to mention an incredible amount of control) to stop fighting and just work on getting her glove off.

She only knows her hand is bare by the feeling of all that blood--slick and warm and hers--covering her skin. She reaches up and grabs the wolf's ear, hanging on as tightly as possible. She can feel her power taking over. She feels warmer, stronger and more alive than she had a second ago, which means the wolf is probably starting to feel the affects as well through his bloodlust.

With that contact at his ear, the wolf feels the drain. Normally, this might be enough to tame the wolf or even to make the beast revert back into human form, releasing Oz from his cage inside. But today isn't a normal day. Something in the dome is affecting both Oz and the wolf in ways that are not at all normal.

So even while the wolf can feel that drain, his claws lash out and get her across her stomach again, and once against her arm. His teeth snap at her until finally the animal realizes that something is wrong. As agitated as the wolf is, this meat sack is doing something to him, something that's making him lose his natural aggression.

The wolf whimpers and bounces back, easily pulling away and landing low on his haunches. For a moment, it shakes its mane and tries to decide whether or not to continue his assault. Then he's off, running for sector six where the prey might be easier to catch and snack on.

For her part, Rogue uses the benefit of the extra strength and rush of adrenaline and life she drained from the wolf to push herself to her feet. She keeps one arm across her stomach in an attempt (useless) to staunch the blood. She's in rough shape and she knows it. Her first priority is getting to the hospital.
