[ the discussion of movies will have to wait for a more suitable time. while kol would love to rattle off on how inspirational some of the movies are, he finds the fact that niklaus is just a door away to be somewhat thrilling. it's not dislike for his brother that makes him somewhat excited to see him, but it's the act he'll put on. niklaus has always been an excellent actor, and while kol enjoys the films by tarantino, he much prefers to watch his brother.
he waits beside rebekah, a small step or so behind her. how she greets kol brings a small smile to his face; his sister, regardless of how dense she might be when it comes to liking niklaus over him at times, has always seen him for what he is - the life of the party. and a very big pain in niklaus' ass.
he's not disappointed by niklaus' poor attempt at humour; finn has a better sense of it, and while that might be current bias showing, as kol is slightly displeased by his brother's lack of acknowledging him, it's a small sense of normal that this half-wit hasn't been tainted and warped by the wicked ways of this confining aquarium. it will never be acknowledged as relief; everything ends just as it begins with kol being at the core of everything.
kol makes a point of rolling his eyes with a very loud sigh. he wishes he had picked up a knife or perhaps a piece of wood to slam into the cavity of niklaus' chest. that'd be a better joke, in his humble and completely unbiased opinion. but as he lacks any tools of completing niklaus' little bit for the time being, he has something much more impressive. he may not have his arsenal of strength, but kol has never been without his courage. moving forward, kol shoves his way past niklaus to throw himself onto his bed. with his arms behind his head, he grins. ]
Yes, Rebekah. Where is the surprise? You know how Nik loves bursting those with daggers.
[ without the threat of his anger and strength, niklaus currently has the upper hand, but kol will always be an annoying pain in the rear, de-powered or not. ]
