[ a smiling, professional face appears on the fed, now that she's gotten the hang of it. Her experience with Stark Technology certainly did her credit as did her training. There's hardly a trace of fear or panic in her voice at all despite how real it feels. ]

I am well aware this isn't a normal prison, but I have at least one question I wish to have answered. What year is it? If not for this place, then for the time from which you came.

[ because the technology is different, the people are all talking rather strangely and of course there's the issue of -- what she perceives to be -- aliens running loose through the dome. This was hardly where she had expected to be today. ]

[ As for Peggy Carter, it should be easily deducted by the video backdrop that she's in the library. She has been doing her homework today as any good woman should. ]

[ ah yes, the infamous Bucky Barnes. Her heart clenches at the sight of him, a mixture of a relief and utter indifference all at once if she hadn't seen Steve first, she'd break down in shock. He was Steve Roger's friend. Nothing more to her then that and yet it had changed things, when he died.

He had started everything, for that matter, while he lived. ]

Thank you as always, Sergeant Barnes.

[ she swallowed and tried to keep her smile firmly in place, the tremor out of her voice ]

It's good to see you again even if you are, perhaps, the last man I expected to see today.

[ she (mostly) succeeded. ]

[He's already accepted that he should have died, even if he isn't now. To him, it's a stroke of luck he doesn't intend to waste. But Peggy...well, her being here changes things for them. For Steve. And Bucky isn't blind enough he's going to let that opportunity go, either. He smiles.]

I can definitely say it's good to see you. Not enough of that shade of red around here.

[Okay, really, he'll stop flirting. Eventually.] But I think the papers back home may have to write a retraction for my obituary.

[ she's immediately wary. Bucky smiles are often never left at just a smile ]

Then I suggest you save them the trouble and submit the request yourself. A little bit of paperwork shouldn't harm you.

[ but her smile might if he keeps up the flirting. She may prefer a gun, but there are other ways to put a man firmly back in their place ]

Sorry to say, they don't give us a phone call around here. But we do get letters. If you're sending them to other prisoners. You should meet the mail-lady. [Quite an interesting character that one. Bucky chuckles.]

But I'll put in the request to the wardens. See if I can convince them that it's for the good of the war effort. Is there still a war effort? [He has no idea when she's from, even if she does know who he is.]

[ she raises an eyebrow ] I can hardly wait to meet her, then. Does she happen to have a name? [ or was Bucky too busy staring at her to catch it? After all, he did have a reputation for admiring the pretty ladies. ]

As for the war, we did our part, but we can always use good men to help with the clean up effort. [ there was still so much work to do ]

Goes by P.M. Haven't heard the whole thing yet. [And he hasn't even seen her yet, just heard about her and talked to her on the network.]

If by cleaning up you mean rounding up what's left of HYDRA or the Nazis, I'm all for it.

[ she looks a little wry but pushes beyond the horror. After so long, she's damn near numb to it all. ]

Among other things. Not everyone was happy we won the war.

[ and then she smiled ] P.M. is it? I'm growing more interested by the minute. [ a strange name for a woman. But strange was the name of the game today, or so she is learning. ]

There's always someone who's not happy when good things happen. [Bucky isn't the person to look to for diplomacy or soothing over whoever they had managed to piss off by kicking the Axis powers where it hurts.]

She's obsessed with the mail. Says it's her life's calling.
