[ It's difficult to say if he's used to this yet. Hearing tidbits about his future that doesn't add up with the present, only the more he hears the more he can see how it would've ended up that way. As much as he's clinging to the image of a ruthless killer Spike knows that somewhere deep down... he's more than that. He's got the potential for it. At the moment he's not sure if it makes matters better or worse — one too many blows to the head would be a more likely explanation after all.
He takes another swig, stalling for time. It makes him wonder about a lot of things. There's still a gap between now and then. How big he doesn't know, but last he checked he wasn't headed in that direction at all and he can't help but wonder if this is all the chips fault. Neutering him like a dog... yes, that must be it.
