Captain Janeway did not liberate me with the intention of using me against the Collective. [ she sounds oddly defensive, seven's attachment to her captain is complicated: at times antagonistic, in disagreement with her decisions; but on the other end, there's a sense of intense gratitude for all the captain's done for her. janeway has, in many ways, become that maternal figure that was absent from her life after annika and her mother were both assimilated by the borg. ] The captain requested passage through Borg Space in exchange for her ship's assistance against Species 8472. I and several other drones were placed on board Voyager to work in more direct contact with the crew. When the deal Janeway made with the Borg was broken, the other drones were disposed of. Her decision to integrate me into her crew was one of mercy, when she could have very well terminated my existence.
The wardens underestimate my captain. [ her captain. seven believes janeway will somehow see through the clone stand-in, figure out what's going on, and come to her rescue. it's only a matter of time, sooner or later, it'll happen. ...right? ]
