Operation: Skewer the Demon (AKA fight plotting) Part II
Thanks so much to everyone who answered the call to arms for people who want to help kill Xellos. He's deeply amused that so many of you want to be present to witness his end~!

Unfortunately, Casey and I couldn't let everyone be involved in the actual main fight, only because a log with very many players has such high chances of stalling due to logistics and never getting finished. We have chosen Ryu, Joshua, Ammy, Minako, and Zelda to participate along with Fou-Lu in the main thread. If you are the player of one of those 5 and still want to be included, please read

First, thanks to all of you! Hopefully this will be a fun log. Second, those logistics I mentioned? We should probably get on one page with when to get a running start on the log, since the more of us that are tagging at once the more we can get done. Casey and I propose this Friday night (EST/Central US time) to begin -- with the understanding that Sandy will bring Zelda in late due to her flight home. How does that work for people? Obviously after that we'll have to kind of go with the flow and hope it moves decently, but I'm optimistic!

And that brings me to point the third: please don't agree to participate if you don't think you can finish out the log. I really need to get this log done so I can free up my character slot, as well as that it would just be a bummer to not play it out to the end and see Fou-Lu NOM Xellos's head off. Related, if it's your tag and you haven't tagged in over a day or so we haven't been able to contact you about it, we'll probably have to go on without you. Which we would HATE, but for the sake of getting done we may have to. ;;

Last, if you wouldn't mind, could you please comment here or contact Casey re: how you want your character to become involved? This can take place as an IC conversation with Fou-Lu, your kid stumbling upon the fight and deciding to help, handwaving, or anything else you and Casey work out. Your preference, please!

For anyone not chosen for the main thread, rest assured it is only because the characters we chose have the most power or the right kind of power to kill a nigh-invulnerable monster like Xellos. We love you all and would love to thread with everyone, but it's just not feasible. If one of the main combatants has to bow out, we might ping some of you as a pinch-hitter, if you'd still want to. But if you REALLY want to be involved and weren't chosen, ping us here and we'll see what we can work out. &hearts

There will also be a thread solely for bystanders who want to witness the fight, protect others, serve popcorn, etc. It will be event-style and threadjack-able, so ANYONE who wants to witness it should feel more than free to tag in. Bystanders MAY get some injuries if you choose, the actual thread will have an OOC note detailing what your characters can expect to dodge or be hit by or otherwise react to. It would be totally plausible to watch the entire thing and never get injured, though, so don't let that stop you.

*loves on everyone* Thanks so much for the fun times with Xellos, I'm sure you'll all miss him terribly! If you have any feedback for me about him, I'd love love LOVE to hear it since I could use a tweak to how I play villains. ^^

	I can participate. If Ryu senses what's going on with Fou-Lu (severely angry, hurt, etc.) he'd probably go check it out on his own. Obviously the barrier is in effect, and he's been weakened due to his Kefka-induced antics, but he'll be there. :3 (Reply to this) (Thread)

I wasn't sure how strong the penalties are when we decided to put Ryu in, but Fou-Lu would be less worried about Ryu hanging around no matter what--he's immune to fire, and being Hard to Kill (if it is truly possible at all) at least means he's in the best position to offer any backup he still can.

Of course, if I misunderstood and he's basically on the power level of a mortal at the moment, at least that means Ryu has the best seats? :|b

Can do! Ammy will probably notice the giant swings of power going around and come and investigate.

I will note that I am horrendously slow at tags at times with Ammy, but that's in part Gmail's fail because it groups together things I do not want it to and urgh. Yeah. Subject heading to stop that would be nice ^^;

I'd suggest having some sort of AIM chat running for those of us online, since fight logs tend to have times when people can't tag in any kind of order, so skipping can be advised?

And I'm cool with that time l3 I'll try to get up earlier lD;;

	That'll work~ I think that pretty much anyone who can sense magical flow or whatever you want to call it will at least have an idea of what's going on. And I like the chat idea! It would hopefully make things go much quicker. ♥ Let's see what we can do there. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	^^ Sounds good. As for how Zelda gets involved, all she needs is to hear and/or see that Xellos is in a fight that involves people she knows (Fou-Lu, Ammy, any bystanders who are her friends). I think we can just handwave her hearing about that, since I'll be internet-less for all of Friday and until 6 PM central time on Saturday. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Right okay slight change of plans on my part. I probably won't be home until about midnight EST tonight, because today is my brother's birthday and we're going out to a baseball game.

... Which means drinking, which means I'm going to be the designated driver, which means fighting traffic from downtown at night, which I've never done before, which means it'll take about twice as long to get home. ._.;

LMAO I AM A SORT OF FAIL FOR NOT SEEING THIS UNTIL FRIDAY.

I won't be available at 6 - 7:30 pm EST, but any time earlier/later I will be. YOU COULD HANDWAVE HER DURING THOSE HOURS I am flexible and I love you two both - ~~I might be available during those hours I dunno it depends on my ability to sneak and tag during my online classes~~ I'll definitely be on AIM too this time around.

All in all, I'll be there.
