So! My desktop computer's motherboard died yesterday. It was still under warranty, thankfully, but it's being shipped off and they might pop a new hard drive in there. I was fine with this, since 90% of my work is already backed up in various forms, until I remembered that I'd saved a bunch of open tabs in Firefox for tagging.

So. I'm going to be tagging people, now that IJ is back up finally!, but I'm missing tags. ;; If there's any threads you want to make sure I'm aware of, please let me know on this post or via IM or w/e!

So I just wanted to apologize to all our new kids (and irritated veterans, while I'm at it) for IJ's downtime... They had some technical difficulties starting mid-December that caused very slow load, and icons/captchas to only show up about half the time. He did some quick and dirty maintenance to fix it, but it didn't work; so he announced that he was taking it down for big maintenance, and it went down for part of yesterday and part of today while he was fixing it.

And now it's working like a charm! Totally worth it.

I want to reassure all of you who just got here that IJ is never like this. We experience some slowdown on Mondays (and I like to think it's all Marina's doing, with our flood of posting/newbies) but other than that, the service is usually stable. So hopefully we're done with the chaos and it'll stay like this!

D-- Don't forget your AC, guys. You can have until the 8th instead of the 7th due to the downtime.

Durr, somehow being on vacation makes me have less time to do things in. I blame family and my brain shutting down for the winter. And Vel and I are heading up to Chicago for a week, which will also slow me down! Sooooo, slow Ton will be slow. Just letting y'all know~.
