Hi everyone! Hope that got your attention ;D
Since this issue has now come up twice with new arrivals, I thought it was time to make an official post directing those with special/magical offensive abilities to my AT Field post. Basically, I would like to open up a discussion with people who have weapons or abilities they believe could penetrate an AT Field, in order to come up with a consenus about what can and can't hit her. If you believe you might have such an ability, please comment there so we can talk about it!
Essentially, an AT Field is a natural outgrowth of an Angel's body that appears to block attacks when it is in danger. Canonically, it can only be breached by nullification by another AT Field or the Lance of Longinus, which can be used to kill (Adam's Angels) or stunt the growth (Adam, Lilith) of any Angel. Angels are confusing, but they're described at various times as the different evolutionary paths humans could have taken, and as being 99.89% similar to humans in their biological makeup. So describing them as supernatural is a stretch, and they are not technically monsters or spirits.
I hope that helps!
