WHO: Jane, tagging Layton
WHERE: #108
WHEN: Afternoon
WHAT: An exchange of bread for printing help.
RATING: G most likely
One oh five, Jane thought as she walked down the hallway in search of 108 which held the promised printer and the friendly tenant who was willing to let Jane use it. Her gaze flickered over the numbers inlaid in the doors and she was satisfied that she was heading in the right direction. Which was hardly surprising, it was just like the third floor Jane herself lived on. A wrapped loaf of focaccia loaf she had made last night to blow off steam after another disappointing day of job searching was in her tote slung over her shoulder along with a USB stick with her new & hopefully improved resume.
This was the one that would do the trick and get Jane the interview she needed, she was sure of it. All she needed to do was print off a few copies and get it out there. Oh here we are, one oh eight, she thought. Licking her lips nervously, Jane tugged down her black sweater and put on a big smile as she knocked on the door. She resisted the urge to brush back her typical messy hair and felt like rolling her eyes at fussing with her appearance like this. It was her first time meeting the tenant living in 108 and though they were obviously friendly (nice enough to let her use their printer anyway) it was always a little nervous meeting someone new and going into the home.
When the door opened, Jane gave a little wave as she greeted mister 108. "Hi, I'm Jane from 308. I posted on the forum about needing to use a printer and you're my knight with black ink I believe? I hope I'm not interrupting", she added. "I mean, I know you said anytime but if this is a bad time I could always come back", the redhead trailed off with a shrug while silently telling herself to shut up. A few seconds into meeting him and she was already running her mouth. Typical.
"Oh and I brought the bread". Jane reached into the tote and hauled out the loaf wrapped in cling wrap and offering it to the man. "Hope you like it".
