Jane bit her lip and had to admit Chris had her there about the zoo. "No, I have never been to a zoo before", she admitted sheepishly. "Or anywhere really besides Warwick. My mom wasn't big on travelling or--" Jane smiled sourly "--doing much of anything". There was certainly a little bitterness in Jane's voice when she said those words. She would never understand why her mother wanted to hide away from the world or why she wanted to force Jane to do the same. "I suppose I should visit a zoo first before I start making judgments. There's probably a ton of shit...I mean, things I should see first before saying anything about them", she added though she tried to correct the swearing.
Jane doubted that it would bother Chris but she could almost hear her grandmother in her head. Don't swear Jane, it's rude, the old lecture popped up in her thoughts. Jesus, I move almost a hundred miles and I still can't get away from that old bat, Jane thought. Pushing thoughts of her grandmother out of her mind, Jane turned her attention back to Chris.
"Oh, cool. I haven't met her yet, not in person anyway. Has she been on the forum?" Jane asked curiously, wondering if this woman was one of those she had talked to so far. "And how's the settling in going for you? Are you all unpacked and settled yet?"
