Jane paused in mid bite. Red dragon? That immediately made her think of the book which in turn made her think of Hannibal Lector. Stupid free associations. The last thing Jane needed to think about while eating was cannibals. She managed to push the thought aside long enough to finished off the egg roll however. "Could be worse, they could have called it Lucky's which has to be the most overuse name for Chinese take outs. Still, good egg rolls", Jane remarked as she dusted off her hands. When Chris asked how long she had been living there, Jane had to think.
"Jeez, almost a week now I think. The days have been kinda blending into each other lately so it's kinda hard to keep track". It was funny how when she was in school or working that never happened but when Jane had some time off it was hard to remember if it was Monday or Tuesday.
"It's a pretty cool place and the rent is great though so I'm stoked to be here". More than stoked, Jane was damn lucky to find a place like this. She had been staying at the Backpackers hostel and pub that was about twelve minutes away from the heart of Cambridge. It was alright for about thirty bucks a night but Jane had been pretty happy to finally have place she could come and go as she pleased without having to worry about check in times or other people ripping off her stuff. Jane helped herself to a space on the bench, figuring she might as well while she waiting for her clothes to wash.
"What about you?" she asked Chris, partly out of curiosity and partly for conversation. "Are you enjoying living here at Marchen Heights so far?"
