Peter inhaled deeply. "Oh yeah", he sigh. "It's the bread. I always thought it was bullshit that people say you should bake bread in a place you want to sell your house. Like bread's gonna make your shitty place look better but I'm seeing it now. If you were selling something I'd fork out cash...if I had cash". Peter didn't and he wanted to make sure Jane knew he didn't. "Which I don't since school's sucked all my money out of my wallet. I'm lucky I can afford fucking mister noodle". Making himself comfortable by leaning against the counter, Peter eyed Jane. Not bad. Not great but not bad.
"I'm Peter and I would love a beer Jane". He stood a little straighter, flashing an easy grin at the redhead. Natural reaction for Peter whenever a girl spoke to him, even if he wasn't interested. Craning his neck, Peter looked around her apartment, checking out her stuff out of habit to see if she had anything cool or interesting. "Shit, are you in school too?" The place was neat but practically empty. "Or did you just move in? It's kind of...echo-y in here".
