Rabbit ☸ Turpentine Erase Me Whole Who: Rabbit and The Spine What: A malfunction gone wrong. Where: Their apartment. When: Feb. 18th. Rating: PG-13
After the rush and exhaustion that the holiday had brought to the two Walters, Rabbit and The Spine were spending an easy, surprisingly quiet afternoon in their apartment together, brotherly bickering pushed aside for once in favor of silence and simple comfort.
The copper automaton had been curled up on the couch beside his brother, a bare head in the taller automaton's lap to use like a pillow, bi-colored optics focused on the big screen television that was displaying some obnoxiously bright children's movie across the screen. The volume was turned down to a lower level for once - Rabbit so usually enjoyed blasting it for movies - but the kindness was only out of respect so it wouldn't interrupt The Spine who currently had his nose stuck in a thick book.
Rabbit was giggling as he watched the movie progress, occasionally pulling on his titanium brother's sleeve to draw his attention to the screen for some silly played out antic or two.
But really, after awhile, when Rabbit peeked up at the other, he'd seen those green photoreceptors already focused on the amusing kid's movie, a curving smile on that usually serious face of his.
It was one of those pleasant afternoons for the two, where they felt quite comfortable each other's quiet company.
