Ellie watched as the nurses filtered out of the room. She gave it another minute or two before she slunk down the hall and into his room. "Boosh. Lunch. Or breakfast, really. Even though it's afternoon." Ellie carried the tray over to him, setting it on his lap. She pulled the lid off, revealing the average hospital food fare, but it was better than nothing.
She sat back down at his side, reaching into her pocket and pulled out the pouch his older self had given her. "So, this is for you," she said softly, setting it on an empty spot on the tray. "It's your phone. And some stuff from the older you. Stuff he wanted you to have."
