Perhaps he didn't have to ask, but he had to get the words out, anyway, at least for his peace of mind. At least so that he can apologize for everything he was going to do now and in the future. They didn't need to go through all of this, but yet... he knew that he was going to need them. It was impossible to think of a life without them. It was selfish of him at the end, but even now he couldn't lose them.
He smiles at them, a weak but gentle gesture, lowering his free hand. He wishes he could touch Tony, but he doesn't quite dare to, for fear of what it might show. And he's already shown so much... too much, even.
"Sora said he wanted a buffet when he wakes up," he mutters, gaze flickering between Tony and Pepper. "A buffet and a party, for him and the rest of them. Could you... make it happen?"
