Stiles looked up at Derek for a long moment. He wanted to hit him. He wanted to sit him down and force him through every Disney movie known to man and just force the happiness on him. He arched an eyebrow at the man. "I meant I hadn't read any of his other stuff, so I had nothing to compare it to. But thanks for crushing my hopes of ever finding love before I turned eighteen. No, really." He reached over grabbing the pillow he'd thrown at Derek and whapped him lightly in the leg. God, Derek needed to lighten up. He was like the Sean Bean of emotion. He needed some good times, but there was always an Orc around to shoot a thousand arrows in his chest. Somehow, that made sense in his head.
Stiles blinked when Derek bopped him on the head with the book. Derek handed it off to him and Stiles closed his fingers around it, not wanting to drop it. "Okay, bossy. You know, you would make the worst librarian. Read this book," He said, mimicking Derek's voice and grumpy face and mimed whacking someone across the back of the head with the book in his hand. Derek gave him a look and returned his his bed after finding a book.
Stiles settled back against the couch, kicking his sneakers off and crossed his legs at the ankles, propping that pillow up behind his head again. He opened to the first page of the book, glancing over at Derek when he spoke. Stiles smirked at him. "I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm pretty sure my default mode is 'Annoy Derek Hale'. But that works. And I can grab some stuff from my kitchen, if you need it here."
