/arrives, late as usual
[Khan is sitting on the steps of the Old Library,. watching the people go by, and occasionally eyeing the group of Cultist guards across the street. He can see the way they carry themselves, once they were children, and now they rule over the whole city. And they've certainly let it go to their heads, despite how unworthy of it they are of it.
He might've even been tempted to start something, just to see how many of them he could kill, perhaps to break into one of the places they were guarding. But it's nothing more than an indulgence he entertains in his mind because the bangle has taken his abilities again. And this time he knows they'll be no end to it until the cult is defeated.
Too bad no one else seemed to be doing much of anything. But maybe, he decides, that might change when he sees Elizabeth riding along the street on her horse. He'd heard the hoof beats before he saw her, of course, and at least his enhanced hearing hasn't been as dulled as everything else. He still hastes how weak it makes him feel, hates that he can't hear as many things as he normally would be able to, among other things.
Still, as the queen approaches, Khan gets to his feet and moves toward her.] Your Majesty. [Again, equal respect. He has a plan, a proposal, and it involves her.]
