[ Elizabeth admittedly had far more sensible reasons for talking to Dean, she needed to know what had happened on the expedition. But more than that, she simply wanted the company of someone she could talk to with understanding and without judgement. This place was getting to her, in it's own way. She'd been here nearly over a year now, and as much as it was kinder than home... she never felt truly the same here.
Perhaps none of them did, and that were all just as good at pretending as she was.
But all the same, she'd invited him out of company plain and simple, if she were to take all her reasons of it. Just to a quite dinner, not anywhere too spectacular, but just quiet and mostly empty. Her tiger was still sleeping outside on the sidewalk. Even if she left it home, it found a way to follow her, so she had stopped trying after awhile. But for the most part she was looking forward to the evening, waiting for him to arrive. A book in hand, reading the events that would happen in the future she would never see, trying to fill in the pieces of the world gone by. ]
