You can assume whatever you like but you know what they say about assuming.
[Sherlock isn't entirely sure what is happening exactly but from what he'd gathered from other conversations so far, he was very much capable of arguing for the 'team'. Enjoy guys!]
Books get adapted all the time in various different formats with many 'spins' put on them. If I'm right in my assumptions, we're a modern version on TV in some universe somewhere. Or, far more likely, some idiot wrote a book and stole our names and the basic premise, hence confusing everyone here. I would be flattered but Victorian times sound tedious and I don't appreciate when those with inferior minds try to tackle subjects like my cases, they often miss the best parts.
[Yes, John, he's talking about you. And that super lame blog he hates.]
Star Trek is the show you're from, in case you hadn't gathered that, hence why we're familiar. Or rather John is familiar, I've never really had the interest. You're a character in it, I assume anyway. One who is -- logical? Intelligent. Alien. But not the leading man, more a supporting role. Lacking in emotions as well. I say a lack but it's more a repression, isn't it?
[No, he hasn't seen the show, John just always called him Spock in moments of pure logic and lacking in emotion. He's mostly drawing from their and firs impressions.]
