She noticed the way his eyes changed and her brows pressed together slightly. "You could break my heart." She said softly, almost whispering quietly enough that most wouldn't have heard her. There was such a crystal breaking in that look he gave her, the gems in his eyes seemed to crack, and it physically pained her. She could feel the aching inside of her. When his hand touched hers, her lips parted slightly with the small gasp that passed her. She shook her head slowly, "What are you talking about?" She asked, wanting to move closer to him. And she hated the jacket between the two of them, however less clothing against him would be quiet wrong, even to her. "There's no fault."
Her voice cracks slightly when he moves away from her. Her stomach tightens, her heart races and she feels slightly off balance. It was the distance that really made her take notice of what he'd just classified himself as. "Dhampir.." She knew the term. They were the offspring of a vampire and a human. The thought of vampires sent ice cold fear through her body, as she rose to her feet, clutching the jacket to her. Her mind went to the scar on the back of her leg, and the events that led up to it. She didn't know much about them but she could make many assumptions.
No wonder he spoke so beautifully, like he had lived a million lifetimes. He very well may have.
"You drink.. blood." That much she was almost certain of. What she wasn't so sure about was whether he had been sitting there, talking to her and thinking about drinking hers. Was it something natural for them? Could they be as ravenous as the vampire she had met? Feeling a little more exposed then she had a moment ago, she stepped down from the rocks and moved back a few feet. "I'm dry now, I should probably get dressed. My clothes are right over here." She explains so he doesn't think she's running off with his coat.
Then, because it wouldn't be proper, she asks, "Would you mind turning around?" Desmond had seemed so nice so far. She may not have reason to be afraid of him, but she couldn't be sure yet. And either way, she didn't want to stand nude in front of someone she hadn't known more than this short amount of time.
