It was incredibly strange to be having a conversation with Septimus, considering that, only about five minutes ago, they had been having a rather heated discussion about a near collision. Now, they were talking about the history of humans, and of magic, and the transition had been nearly effortless.
Keith shrugged, though, and shifted his books a little so that they were all balanced more neatly so that he didn't drop them. "I don't believe you've told me what you're teaching, Sir." He wasn't even sure that he'd known that the man was a teacher, though he wasn't surprised to hear it, either. He certainly seemed confident enough, and spoke with a great deal of passion.
