It irritated him a bit, really, that this stranger was so obviously enjoying whatever feeling of superiority he had from having information that Keith wasn't privy to. He hated being ignorant of anything, so the sly smugness in the other man's tone of voice, his knowing smile, was incredibly frustrating to Keith. He gave Septimus a bit of a suspicious look, but, in the end, he had to admit it was the other man's perogative to keep things to himself, if he wished.
So, though it was difficult, Keith pushed the question aside for the moment. He would always wonder, of course, but for now, there was another conversation going on. And the other man was saying some very interesting things, things that definitely made Keith wonder. One thing was for certain. Either the man was a liar, or he had been alive for a very long time.
"I think they should be used together, Science and magic." He spoke with quiet, calm certainty. "They should compliment each other, when both used correctly. More healing can be done that way, I believe."
