Who: Keith and OPEN What: Checking out the library When: June 24, early afternoon Where: The library (duh) Warnings: TBA Status: Incomplete
It was a little surprising, really, that Keith hadn't made it to the library already. Considering that he'd basically evenly divided his time while in high school between the library and the science labs, it could have reasonably been assumed that the young pre-med student would have headed there first, since he couldn't really get into the labs until school started in the fall. But, what with one thing or another, he'd been too busy to get to the library yet, and, the way he saw it, it was time to change that.
Honestly, he was expecting to be a little disappointed by it. The Alden library had such an amazing reputation, and Keith couldn't really see how it would live up to it. So he was going in with what he thought were realistic expectations, and, of course, he had them all absolutely blown away. He should have listened to the rumors, though, even then, Alden didn't live up to its reputation - it exceeded it. By a lot.
Keith had never seen such a beautiful building. For a moment, once inside, he just gawked around, feeling a bit like some sort of tourist in the Vatican City or something. Everything was a work of art. This wasn't some musty old building, no, everything was beautiful, spacious, and, he soon came to understand, very well laid out. For a good couple of hours, he just browsed around, pulling books that interested him off shelves as he went. He had a good sized stack of them, finally, and he decided to go check them out.
It was a little hard to see around the books, and really, Keith should have been more careful. He only barely managed to avoid literally bumping into someone, and probably dumping his books on them. He gasped, and then turned to the person he'd nearly assaulted, obviously feeling horrible about the incident. "I'm sorry... I didn't hurt you, did I?"
