She studied his battered face but to her surprise it he appeared to be healing with each passing second and though the human body was more than capable of such a thing, his healing ability was more than human. Beth drew a startled breath and whispered, "woah..." beneath the campus lighting.
There was a haunting look in his eyes, something was off and her heart began to race with a hint of fear and confusion, she'd never had anyone look at her like that, not even her boyfriend so when he asked for her to leave she dropped her hand away from his face, nodded simply, and took a small step backwards. Her eyes never left his face though, "are you okay Desmond?" She asked again, his rapid cell regeneration could heal the physical but there was something so broken about him. It was hard to pinpoint what would make her think such a thing about him but there an edge to him that worried her, still she continued to create a distance between herself and the man who had saved her life. Beth wasn't ready to leave him for fear that something truly was wrong with him, deep down inside, and being the fixer that she was, she couldn't leave him just yet, so once more she took a seat down upon the set of steps again.
