One minute she sat alone on a stoop, lost in her thoughts. A mix of confusion and hope for the world around her, she'd learned many things in the past few weeks, phone calls and conversations back home. The world was not as welcoming and understanding of the supernatural as Beth had been raised to be, her parents had instilled in her a kindness but even still, she feared that her brothers and even her parents could not see the gentle nature of some of these creatures that surrounded her here. Her parents spoke the words of an understanding and of an open heart towards your fellow man, but it was just that… humans, she wondered if the same equality would be given to the students of Alden University. We are all the same! She thought with a frustrated sigh as a figure stepped out of the darkness and then in a flash he had her arm in his grasp, his grip was tight, much too tight, she thought as he flashed a crooked smile and greeted her by name, but there was something off about his tone, that look in his eyes, it was borderline sadistic and it scared Beth, a coldness running through her veins. She knew that if this ended badly and she made it out alive that she'd need to remember this moment of clarity so as to identify the man, her father and brother's had taught her to always be strong but right now as she faked it Beth felt her bottom lip give her away so she sucked it in as the stranger began to speak once more, he seemed to really be enjoying himself and she wondered what event in his life had set him off bringing him to this point in his life. Was she the first or would she be one of the many that might lead up to his last? The question of who she was to him pushed its way forward again but she blinked it away and swallowed the threatening tears. Something caught his attention however and his gaze turned away from her, her eyes were not following his, instead she was scanning the grounds, someone, and anyone...
