"Yes, I could see that happening, hundreds of years from now, but not any time soon." Unlike Kat, there was the distinct possibility that Isabelle would see the end of such an era. She had already lived nearly three hundred years, another couple of hundred, while she didn't look forward to it, didn't seem too far away.
Isabelle didn't seem to mind that Kat was a little bit pessimistic, but this was because she could also be a pessimist. She seemed to have found a kindred spirit in Kat, without really realizing it. She didn't actively seek anyone out for a friend, but it seemed that she had several things in common with the science teacher. It didn't hurt that Kat was also pleasant to look at.
She moved down the bookshelf, gathering a few volumes on water and oil painting as well as figure drawing. She tucked them against her side and then turned to see where Kat had gone. "Okay.... anything you want to look at before I go check these out?"
