Kat considered that opinion carefully, and then shrugged. "I don't know that I agree. I think that books will, eventually, be only found in museums, where they can be properly preserved. Of course, this would likely all be in many, many years. It's possible I won't ever see it." Really, she hoped not. Her viewpoint was valid, she felt, and chances were good that books would eventually be replaced, but she liked reading enough that she wouldn't want to give it up. "And that's assuming that we don't all kill each other off before then, of course."
Really, she could be so cheerful, she mused to herself as she followed the other woman up the stairs. Which was odd, really, that she would second guess herself even that much. She didn't tend to give a damn what other people thought, and yet, she actually wondered if she had put Isabelle off with her little speech. No way to know, she supposed.
"No, of course not." Kat decided to wait, and while she did, she started gazing over the spines of the books, reading the titles. This was an incredible selection, and she was really beyond pleased.
